Barbados Muslim Association Makes Donation to QEH

PATIENTS AND STAFF of the Accident and Emergency Department (A&E) at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital are set to benefit from $27 000 in donations from the Barbados Muslim Association.
Today at a handing over presentation held at the hospital, head of A&E Dr Chaynie Williams thanked the Association for its continued support.
She recalled that it was not the first time the association donated to the hospital and asked that it be an ongoing relationship.
“I personally want to thank Abdul [Mohamed] as president of the Barbados Muslim Association of Barbados for their generous donations . . . . We are very happy and pleased for their vote of confidence in us as health care providers,” she said.
The donations include pulse oximeters, safety vests and tarps to be used by emergency response teams, a water cooler in the waiting area and recliner chairs for the staff room. In addition, large signage was hoisted at the entrance of the department. (TG)
